The GEM

The GEM represents over 90 Swiss and foreign multinationals established in the Lake Geneva area with some 35,000 employees. It endeavours to ensure competitive, stable and favourable framework conditions for the development of Swiss and foreign multinationals established in the region.

The GEM is headed by a President and a Committee that manages the group under the supervision of the General Assembly, with the logistics and technical support of the Secretariat. In parallel, based on a mandate given by the Committee, various commissions (human resources, taxation and public affairs) and working groups concentrate on specific themes.

The GEM has four observer members:

• Fédération des Entreprises Romandes Genève (FER Genève)
• Chambre de commerce, d'industrie et des services de Genève (CCIG)
• Chambre vaudoise du commerce et de l'industrie (CVCI)
• Centre Patronal

The GEM is member of economiesuisse, Union patronale suisse (UPS) and Fédération des Entreprises Romandes Genève (FER Genève). It is also sympathiser partner of the International Geneva Welcome Center.
